Pivdenno-Zakhidna Railways repairs and launches city train

Pivdenno-Zakhidna Railways (Kyiv) has repaired four trains of the city train and launched them on September 27.

With reference to its chief Oleksiy Kryvopishin, the next four renovated electric trains will be launched on October 7, and on October 10 – the city train will start working at full capacity.

The specialists of the Fastiv railcar depot of Pivdenno-Zakhidna Railways are working around the clock to deliver the electric trains on time. The repairs of the trains will allow to ensure the safety of passengers.

As reported, the movement of the city train in Kyiv was opened in August 2009. Every day it carries about 50,500 passengers.

Earlier the number of trains of the city train has been repeatedly reduced due to wage arrears for the repair and maintenance of trains and the infrastructure debt of Kyiv City State Administration and municipal enterprise Kyivpastrans.
